Douglas P. Whipple - Attorney
Douglas Whipple has provided legal services and advice to businesses, families and individuals since 1980. He is primarily a civil trial lawyer, with lead counsel experience in such disputes as commercial and real estate contracts and leases, securities litigation, intellectual property litigation, employment discrimination, employment termination, unemployment compensation and probate litigation. He has extensive experience in arbitration and mediation. Mr. Whipple is a repeated recipient of the distinguished Ohio Super Lawyer designation.
Community service has always been important to Mr. Whipple. These endeavors have included serving as Chair of the Strategic Advisory Committee of the American Red Cross Business and Industry Council for Emergency Planning and Preparedness (BICEPP), President of the Hudson Heritage Society, member of the Hudson Board of Education, and Board Member of the Citizens League of Greater Cleveland. He was honored with the American Red Cross “Vega Award” for his volunteer work in crisis management education. Mr. Whipple has handled pro bono foreclosure cases for the Legal Aid Society. Most recently Mr. Whipple served as a Board Member and Officer of FutureHeights, which promotes community enrichment and sustainability through innovative ideas and civic engagement.
Mr. Whipple received a B.A. from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1974 and a J.D., cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1980. He served on the Cleveland-Marshall Law Review and his treatise was awarded the “Chief Justice Samuel H. Silbert Award for Meritorious Writing.” Mr. Whipple served as a Court of Appeals Staff Attorney before entering private practice. He is a long-time member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the OSBA Judicial Administration and Legal Reform Committee. The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association awarded Mr. Whipple its Community Service Award for his active participation in the Association's Lawyer Referral Service. Mr. Whipple is a Life Member of the Judicial Conference of the Eighth Ohio Appellate District.

Susan M. Tuck - Paralegal
Susan Tuck is a litigation paralegal with a particular focus on contracts, transactional law and intellectual property. She ensures that each client's case is treated with exceptional care and attention. Before joining Whipple Law, LLC, Ms. Tuck was a paralegal at various downtown Cleveland law firms, including Squire, Sanders & Dempsey.
Ms. Tuck has been continuously practicing as a paralegal since 1976 and is an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association. Ms. Tuck is a member of the Legal Studies Advisory Board of Ursuline College and is a past board member of the Cleveland Association of Paralegals. These relationships give Ms. Tuck a wealth of experience to benefit the clients of Whipple Law, LLC.
